Love these new bags!! The laundrybag is HUGE, I love to use it at the beach, for fabric remnants, and of course....laundry. (it's a much better way to transport your dry cleaning.) The tote is a great diaper or toddler bag. The smaller tote is a lunch tote (or mini purse if you have a fashionista in training). These bags are super cute monogramed.

This was a centerpiece idea, using a cake stand, glass dome and some mini trophies from Hive. I especially liked the use of the old picture.....it's my handsome Dad. You can really use anything that means something to you, like a pair of your grandmothers glasses, a medal from your grandfather or an old postcard in place of the picture.

This is a wonderful line of bedding available at Hive. Is is 100% , washable Belgian linen. It is absolutely the most wonderful bedding I have ever owned and the more you wash it the softer it gets. I actually look forward to crawling into my bed, and when I am away from home I truly miss it. Order yours for Christmas!!

This is all NEW for me!!!
So a new friend suggested that I start a blog about my decorating business and store. ( I am wondering if she knows that I can hardly navigate the isles at a supermarket, much less cyberspace.) However I have no problems navigating my way through a hardware store, paint fan deck, estate sale or tile warehouse. This blog will be a great spot for design advice, really eccentric accessories, and custom items, and even story boards for the not so do-it yourself projects. I am so excited and look forward to helping you make your hive a home.

About me
I am a married, mother of two children and three french bulldog children. (of whom I'm afraid, will never grow up). Fourteen years ago I was a brand new mom and still trying to figure out what I was going to be when I "grew up" ;). I had always loved to decorate and transform spaces, but it never occurred to me that EVERYBODY couldn't do that. I just surrendered all of my hopes and fears to God and asked Him what it was that He wanted me to do. At the same time not really acknowledging the gifts He had given me, as...gifts. God reminds me often, that He is the ultimate creator, redeemer, savior. In all creation there is nothing "new" under the sun, to Him. I am constantly inspired and refreshed through His display of creativity.....creation is an endless inspiration. I want this blog to honor and glorify God, and what He has done in my life. I pray that this will be a wonderful fellowship and testimony for others who are not sure of themselves.....by the way you don't have to be sure of yourself to be a success, you have to measure success against Gods standard for success, and you have to be surrendered....and then surrender again.....and the next day.... ;)
